When my friend introduced me to the world of blogging, I was become hesitant to share my life to world. I didn’t feel good about it and I wanted to stop. But now, I couldn’t pass a day without visiting my blogs. I always wanted to see if I had visitors and to check if I have comments on my daily rants on how to lose belly fat in my body!

Anyway, kidding aside, blogging have become part of my life. My blogs have become like children to me. I felt that I need to feed them with posts that are colorful or not.

Email Excitement

I was very busy doing my articles about the latest wrinkle remover cream in the market today when I received an email at my Yahoo account. The email contained news that my blog makeover order was already finished and the designer is asking for the login details so that she could install it for me.

Because of my excitement, I immediately gave her my login details at Blogger.com. Now, I am just waiting for her confirmation that my new blog layout is already installed. Aside from that, I am very much excited to order more from her.

Cars and More

I was doing several posts about auto parts and cars from one of my blogs. At first, I thought I can’t do it because I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to cars. But luckily, I was able to put in several words and was able to create a sensible post. It was not all purely about car technicality but it was just my plain observations on how cars are in relation with women, life and family. So far, my post got approved and I have additional requests to write for more.

After that, I kept on wondering, if I was able to pull it off, can I now write posts about Ferrari parts and more? Well, not entirely about Ferrari but more about cars and other manly stuff. What do you think?

Page Rank Lost

When I bought this blog, it had a page rank of two and everyone was telling me I had a great deal. But then after a few days, I noticed that from page rank of two it went down to zero. The page rank it has was now lost!

Of course, I was sad for that matter. Losing this blog’s page rank made me kind of sad inside. We all know that page rank in most paid to blog companies are essential to get plenty of advertising offers coz if you don’t have one then you are bound to get nothing.

But still, I was not all completely sad. Though this blog lost its page rank, I am not that hopeless. I know that this blog will still get opportunities soon maybe not on page rank conscious companies, but in some other companies. Aside from that, at least the cuteness (theme) of this blog didn’t disappear together with its page rank. LOL!

Planning to Attend the Visayas Blogging Summit

I really wanted to meet many of my fellow virtual blogger friends in real life. So, I am planning to attend the Visayas Blogging Summit on November 27 – 28, 2010 at Iloilo City. My husband and I are planning to celebrate his birthday at Iloilo City as we attend the event.

Anyway, for those who haven’t heard, what is the Visayas Blogging Summit? Read the details below on this event:

The Visayas Blogging Summit & Blog Awards will be the very first event of its kind to be hosted here in Iloilo. These two events will gather bloggers from all over Visayas, invited guests from Luzon and expert speakers from different fields. The goal of the Visayas Blogging Summit (VBS) is to gather ideas and explore the potential impact of blogging on society, business and politics. The Visayas Blog Awards, on the other hand, aims to recognize notable Visayan-owned and Visayan-related blogs in their respective niches.

The Reason Why

Since I am the new owner of this blog, I opted to share with you why I bought this domain of all others. Well, I really like the domain name because it really suggests how my life is right now – very colorful just like crayons because of my children! Aside from that, my children certainly loves drawing stuffs with their pencils and coloring them with their crayons!

So, I continued the name of this blog as Crayons and Pencils but tagged it differently with the new line: Life is Colorful When You Have Kids. And I think most moms agree with me!

By the way, why did I retain the old posts of Mommy Riza? Well, as much as I wanted to have all the posts authored by me, for SEO purposes, I decided to retain all posts. Besides, it would be very nice to have an instant old domain right?
