I guess me and my peers have reached that stage in motherhood where having another child is no longer an option. I mean it used to be, when we were a lot younger like mid or late 20’s, but now that kids are already in school, we are quite happy with the fact that we have gone past that time where we had to buy diapers, be awake ‘til wee hours in the morning to take care of a tiny infant.

Of course when we look at baby photos we feel nostalgic about cuddling our little bundle of joy—and those walk in the parks were precious, weren’t they? Who would forget about the very first steps our children have made? They did bring sheer joy. But if I really have to have kids at this time of my life, I would rather have twins! At least walking in the park with those double strollers would surely double the fun!

How many babies are born every minute? While there are those born of mothers who live in the streets or in a country where most families live under a dollar a day, there are also those who are decently living and giving everything they can to bring up their children in prosperous living.

In this day and age, though, even those who can afford are trying to keep the costs at bay, hence, babies r us coupons are helpful to channel the savings to something else, like more baby stuff. With the fluctuating economy, every cent matters and it is wise to be prudent.

I was busy doing an article about cigar auctions when my son approached me and asked me how many days till Christmas. I asked him why he was eager to know. Then he replied that he is excited to open my gift for him.

As you can see, this is the first Christmas we have that I wrapped their presents and put it under our Christmas tree. I told them that there would be no opening of gifts until December 25. So, I guess the excitement of opening their gifts have entered to their minds! LOL!

Have you ever riding a door while holding on to its door knob? Well, I have done this several times when I was little. My grandfather always reprimands me. He said I am shortening the life of his door knob by riding on it every day!!

Anyway, since they say history repeats itself, I am already seeing myself through my children. So every time they ride on the door and hanging on the door knob, I can’t help myself but smile. Instead of reprimanding them, I find myself laughing and remembering the years I used to ride my grandfather’s main door knob!!

We may be considered a skinny family, that is my three children and me. But after my third child, I gained so much weight that you would hardly call me skinny.

But my children are a different thing. They have taken after my small frame and they are really thin. I have given them weight gain supplements but nothing seems to be working on them. I guess they are just like that and their bodies are created that way.

I guess I have nothing to worry about them as long as they are energetic and are not sickly. After all, I was like that back then when I was younger so there is really no surprise. I just think that I am wasting money on their supplements. hehe

When my son’s birthday was fast approaching, I was so depressed because I had no money. I wanted to give my son a birthday treat but money wasn’t available for us to spend. So, I hoped that my husband would avail some payday advance loans but unfortunately, he already made one earlier this month.

So as days passed by, I really hoped that money would come my way. Fortunately, God heard our prayer. We were able to have a little something for him on his birthday both at school and at home. Praise God for the blessings!!

Sometimes I find it very funny when we people turn on our air conditioning unit and then we use a blanket or an electric blanket as we sleep. Sometimes I don’t find the logic of being in a cold place and then wanting to be warm at the same time.

Anyway, as for me and my family, we really love to have our air conditioning unit running and then be tucked and cuddled with a very warm blanket. It seems that the only logic we understand is that it’s very comfortable that way. The contrast between cold and warm makes everything comfy especially for the kids.

I really wanted to create activities for my children that would become our bonding time together. Since I was a failure when it comes to crafts, I decided to start practicing it with my children. I want to learn crafts together with my children.

And because of this, I am now slowly buying crafts materials such as box cutter, crafts scissors, colored papers, crayons, paints and many more. When we have most of the crafts materials, then I will start our Saturday Craft Time with my kids. Isn’t that a great idea?

My son who is now six years old and currently attending Grade One wants to have his own mobile phone. He said he wants one because all of us has one including her older sister which is now ten years old. He said, not just an ordinary cellphone but he wants an iPhone because he wanted his mobile phone to have a touch screen feature. Aside from that, he wants to have additional iPhone accessories with it to make it more appealing.

After my son told me these things, my jaw dropped wide open. I never imagined for my son to be technologically savvy at the age of six. When I was at his age, I didn’t care about technology and new inventions, all I wanted was to play, play and play. But now, children are more advanced and more into technology than most adults.

Anyway, I explained my son that an iPhone is not for six year old children but only for older people. I also told him that I will buy him a mobile phone but not now since he is still young and he doesn’t need one. Good thing my son is such an obedient boy. He agreed to what his mommy explained. Thank God!

Yesterday, my mom complained that our room has too many mosquitoes. I asked her why, when she never sleeps inside our room. She told me that my son has mosquito bites. I was shocked with what she said when I always stayed at our room most of the time. So, I told her I am going to have the room sprayed so that the mosquitoes, if there’s any, will be killed.

When morning came, we were so surprised to see that the suspected mosquito bites spread all over his body including his face. That is when we realized that those were not mosquito bites but chicken pox blisters! So we decided not to send him to school. Since he didn’t have fever, we didn’t go to the doctor for check-up and decided to wait it out. But tonight, he incurred fever that is why I will be bringing him to the doctor tomorrow.

Since he has two siblings, I have asked him to at least keep distance especially with our youngest who is still a baby. He understands about his situation, so he just spent his time watching Discovery channel the whole day.
