Didn’t anyone realize that he’s still Chinese?

This is why as much as possible I don’t like talking about politics.

After much hullabaloo in the aftermath of the first automated elections, yesterday marked another era in Philippine history as Noynoy Aquino and Jejomar Binay were officially announced to be the next elected leaders of this land. The son of former president Corazon Aquino and the late congressman Ninoy Aquino, Noynoy has been proclaimed as the 15th president of the Philippines. It’s really an interesting fact that while his contemporaries were marked as scums in the Philippine politics, he remained undaunted and his reputation remained unsullied despite all the criticisms that he got for not having significant brilliancy during his many years of political career as a lawmaker as not having enough to show for his performance.

But to those who were able to cast a vote for him, many will be expecting great things from him, coming from the lines of descent of politicians as parents; his body guards and assistants will be in need of a lot of coffin nails. As the old saying goes; “marami ka pang kakaining bigas” many will be watching, a lot of them vultures from the sidelines, and when he’s not looking, I hope Kris Aquino is not.
